Susan Carr: The Poppy Field

I really love this painting because of the vibrant but limited colours used. One of my favourite bits about the painting is the detail of the girls face, and the flowers in her hair. It adds to a very dreamy and summery feel, with the rosy cheeks standing out the most.

The simple design of the flowers remind me a lot of Klimt and the way he paints, paintings such as The Kiss and Bauerngarten.
